Amanda & Alex lend their voices… LOUDER TOGETHER

HOPE supporter, author and journalist Amanda Brunker joined students from Alexandra College Dublin to release balloons for HOPE’s Louder Together campaign, to mark International Day of Street Children this week, 12th April.

The students who have just returned from Kolkata on their immersion education experience with HOPE were buzzing with enthusiasm “this is a great campaign to be part of, it’s a simple act – releasing a balloon- but it’s so powerful”.

Did you know an estimated 30,000 children are trafficked into Kolkata each year to work in the labour force ? Without our combined efforts, these children may never be rescued, may never live to see adulthood and certainly never experience the joys of childhood that every child has a right to experience.

Amanda, joined by her two sons Setanta & Edward, said:  ”I would encourage everyone to get involved in this awareness campaign, by the very simple act of releasing a balloon, we are sending a message of love and support from Ireland to thousands of homeless children who survive on the streets of Kolkata”.

Please join us on Facebook or Twitter and add your voice to help the street children of Calcutta.
