What do books mean for the children we work with in the slums and on the streets of Kolkata?

When we began our holistic education programme, 75% of children were dropping out of school. We have reduced this to under 25% and work in partnership with parents to combat illiteracy and support sustainable development.

Thanks to HOPE’s supporters, many more children can celebrate today and enjoy the gift of reading.  But remember, thousands of street children are still waiting for this gift, please help us to make it happen and change their lives.  You can sponsor a child’s education for less than €5 per week, the price of a coffee and a cake.
