International Day of Yoga on June 21st is a United Nations Observance Day which emphasizes the important role yoga plays for our wellbeing.
India is known as ‘The Home of Yoga’ and we are delighted to announce we will be holding an online Zoom Workshop with Bibhu Choudhury live from Mysore, India on June 21st at 10am. This workshop includes joint mobilisation, sun salutations and a comprehensive sequence in which to build upon your personal practise and will last 1.5 hours.
Bibhu was first introduced to yoga as a teenager following a horse-riding accident. Through his recovery, he came to appreciate the capabilities of the human body and its healing processes. Bibhu trained in Mysore in the tradition of Krishnamacharya (whose students included Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar), under the instruction of Bharath Shetty at Indea Yoga, and is Yoga Alliance USA certified.
The cost of partaking in this event is €10 and funds raised will go towards HOPE’S Projects. HOPE works with Kolkata’s forgotten children, those who have been victims of trafficking, violence, abandonment, prostitution, sexual abuse, and severe neglect. Working with such vulnerable children and their wider families and communities, has lifted millions out of poverty, enabling and empowering them to build a brighter future for themselves and for future generations.
