[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Hope Foundation and the Hireco & Granning group Charity Golf Classic took place on Thursday October 13th at Castleknock Golf Club.
The event which was launched by Padraig Harrington saw over 20 teams take part on the day with some great golfing prizes up for grabs for ladies and gents. Tickets to the evening dinner event with special guests Brian Ormond and Sil Fox sold out and over €35,000 was raised for the organisation.
All funds raised from the Golf Classic will go to The Hope Foundation’s work with the street and slum children in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) in particular the Ashar Alo home for girls. Set up in 1999 to raise funds for one girl’s home, The Hope Foundation now operates over 60 projects in Kolkata including 12 protection homes and a hospital helping abandoned and abused street and slum children, improving their quality of life, and giving them a better future.
