Renowned singer/songwriter Brian Kennedy will be this year’s special guest at the annual lunch in aid of The Hope Foundation. The event will take place from 12 noon on Friday September 27th at The Maryborough Hotel & Spa in Cork.
This wonderful lunch is one of HOPE’s flagship annual events and an important fundraiser for the organisation. In 2019, HOPE are celebrating twenty years of working tirelessly to support street and slum children in Kolkata, along with their families and communities.
This year the lunch is very kindly sponsored by Grant Thornton. The funds raised will go to HOPE’s projects working with the street and slum children of Kolkata.
All at HOPE are very honoured to welcome household name Brian Kennedy as a special guest. Brian’s music is known all over the world and we are looking forward to hearing him perform on the day. Brian, who has just emerged from a difficult battle with cancer, has been a source of inspiration to many during his career and since his diagnosis. Thankfully, Brian recently received the wonderful news that he is now cancer-free. Speaking about the event Brian said: “I’m delighted to be able to support The Hope Foundation in Cork. This is such an important charity and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
Experts from the worlds of fashion and beauty will be on hand. Guests can enjoy browsing through the exhibition stands during the reception and take the opportunity to catch up with friends, both old and new.
Speaking at the launch of the fundraising event at the luxurious surroundings of The Maryborough Hotel & Spa, Michael Nolan, Partner, Grant Thornton spoke about their motivation to come on-board as a sponsor this year: “We are delighted to be sponsoring The Hope Foundation Annual Cork Lunch this year. We, as a firm, are committed to doing as much as we can, helping those who desperately need help. This is a fantastic way to support HOPE and all the amazing work that they do.”
The lunch will begin with a gin reception at 12 noon, followed by an elegant three course lunch with wine. All guests will receive a fantastic gift bag and have the opportunity to win superb table prizes. A truly wonderful day out is guaranteed for all attendees.
Tickets for the event are €65 and are limited. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the sponsors, proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit the street and slum dwelling children of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).
