October is a special month in The Hope Foundation's fundraising calendar and a vital time to raise much needed funds for our projects supporting street and slum connected children and their families in Kolkata. Our national Week of HOPE takes place all over the country from 11th to 18th October.
This week is of particular relevance to HOPE because it contains some very important UN International Days that are closely linked with our important work and our adherence to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). International Day of the Girl Child takes place on 11th October, International Day for Rural Women is on 15th October, the following day is World Food Day and 17th October is International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Throughout the week we will be celebrating these important dates and highlighting the work that we are doing in those particular areas.

How You Can Get Involved
Throughout the week we will be celebrating these important dates and highlighting the work that we are doing in those particular areas. During Week of HOPE our amazing volunteers will be back out on the streets and in shopping centres selling delicious HOPE branded Butlers Chocolate bars! Each bar costs just €2 which is enough to feed a child in HOPE’s care for 2 days. By purchasing a bar you will be making a difference to a child’s life in Kolkata.
Keep an eye out for us at various locations around Cork, Galway and the Dublin area – pop over to say hello and treat yourself or a friend to a Butlers milk chocolate truffle bar! To find out exactly where to find us throughout the week use the interactive map below! There is also a Week of HOPE gallery below which we will keep updated throughout the week.
If you cannot buy a bar from our volunteers but would still like to support our Week of HOPE campaign then you can make a donation via the button below. We greatly appreciate your support.
